Achievements:

  • Created Virtual Machines(VM) to increase  logical station count, but reduce physical station count.
  • Evaluated needs of current infrastructure and selected devices that met the needs.
  • Managed the IP addressing of the networks using Class B and C addresses to create LAN segments.
  • Created VLANs to lock down network, as well as adding the necessary permissions to the WAN.
  • Devised company-wide disaster and recovery plan.  Including tape backups, offsite backups, immediate contacts through vendors, and weekly off site images off all servers.
  • Handed out static IPs via Server 2003 DHCP, to all servers, WAPs and other network appliances.

  • Created a “gold” image of Windows XP Professional SP2, which included MS Office, Adobe CS2, and other software suites, to then be imaged on to all computers using Norton Ghost.
  • Placed computers in their proposed areas of the school, properly hooked them all up to the network and imaged and ran SysPrep on all of the machines, and the checked functionality of the machines.
