Marketing. . . myself?

January 30th, 2010 Posted in Uncategorized

I’m no stranger to marketing.  I’ve helped various companies design and develop websites, I’ve helped companies come up with their own brand recognition and also brainstormed ideas to get there name out there.  I’ve also done my fair share of marketing my own endeavors, but marketing myself?  This idea is new to me!

I’ve spent the last few days revising my resume, creating and filling out a LinkedIn account as well as designing and coming up with content for my own personal website.  I’ve created websites before, I currently have Decius Solutions, and Sempiternal Beta going.  My problem was, one is to get me business, and the other is solely a rant blog, and nothing more.  After doing a little reading I decided I needed to make an online presence for myself.  I started out with finally adding information to my LinkedIn account that I created a few years ago.  I created a “page” for myself on Facebook, filling out basic contact information, and then decided I needed a permanent home on the internet, so I redirected www.StevenBrucato.com from my rant blog, it’s own website.

I’m not really sure that I absolutely need a blog, but I figured I could use this as a way to keep progress on my hunt for long-term employment, and for something to look back on when I’m well into my career.  Anyway, back to coding!
